"We are a club run by members for the members and it goes without saying that our club would not run successfully without the enormous amount of time and energy that all our volunteers put into it."
Our ethos is based on five areas:
Learn to Play
Whether you are new to the game or are a little rusty, our coaches run beginners and “Back to Tennis” sessions, where you can build your confidence and develop the skills that will allow you to get the most out of the club and your tennis.
Play
An organised game with friends, a match, a social club morning or evening or coaching with one of our highly qualified team – it's all there for you to enjoy. We have 6 stunning Tiger (Astro) Turf courts, all floodlit, and very comfortable to play on in virtually any conditions!
Compete
There is plenty of opportunity to compete at all levels – club tournament - held during summer & winter, match play days (weekly home & away league throughout Hertfordshire), and our very popular social American tournaments held several times throughout the year. Improve
We have a great team of experienced coaches who run a busy and varied programme of coaching for adults and juniors, either individually or in groups including drills & pre-season team tennis development. The coaches are always delighted to help you improve your game, learn new skills and most importantly, enjoy yourself!
Socialise
We have plenty of fun social events during the year which are advertised here on the website, through our social media and via newsletter emails to members. As far as social tennis is concerned, our daytime and evening club sessions are ever popular and you will meet plenty of people of all standards to mix in with. This is a great way of meeting other members of the club in a relaxed environment.
