Beware “The Ides of March” but no I am not referring to the assassination of Julius Caesar in 44BC but those of us tennis members who could be referred to as the “Idles of March”, those of you, like me who haven’t spent enough court time at the Home of Tennis. So, its time to dust of your tennis racket and find your tennis shoes and venture out and play some tennis. For those of you new to our lovely club and not sure when you can play, please look at the sessions mentioned at the end of this notice, or drop me an email or text and I, or one of our lovely committee members will steer you in the right direction. My details are on our website, as you currently are.
We are just a month away from the start of the WDTL matches, nearer the dates I will be telling you of great matches and fun for you to share in.
Monday, we have our men’s night. Fiercely competitive and always fun with an end of night drink and chat in the Guild. Normally discussing how far out that winning serve really was.
Tuesday has our ladies from all three teams laughing a lot but no less competitive.
Wednesday social is a fun night and if you haven’t been for a while, you really should come along.
Thursday has “Robs boys” named in memory of our much loved Rob Lambert who put this evening together for those men who wanted competitive tennis but not necessarily team matches. It continues in his name still.
Friday night we have more social time and Saturday morning the same.
Sunday morning has our most popular drop-in session run by Master Coach, Brian Linskey. Great fun.
Could I just remind those who are using our very new and wonderful floodlights to please turn them off after you have used them. They might be free to use but are not free to run.
Its membership renewal time soon…. So keep a look out for the communications reminding you.
